Kimberley Boettger-Soller, Mezzosopran

German mezzo-soprano Kimberley Boettger-Soller studied at the Institute for the Musically Highly Gifted (IFF) in Hanover University of Music, and at the Berlin University of Arts where she studied with Julie Kaufmann, Axel Bauni and Eric Schneider. She has gained theatrical trainings from Dagny Müller and Frank Hillbrich. During her studies Kimberley has received scholarships from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, and the Yehudi Menuhin "Live Music Now" Berlin e.V.

 

After being a member of the Landestheater Niederbayern in 2016, Kimberley is currently a member of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where she appears in roles including Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel,  L'Enfant in L'Enfant et les Sortilèges, Wellgunde in Das Rheingold and Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana, Orlofsky In Die Fledermaus, Der Trommler in Der Kaiser von Atlantis.

Previous operatic engagements include the Fox in The Cunning Little Vixen, Afra in La Wally and Junon in Platee.

 

As a Lied singer, she won the 1st prize at the 9th International "Franz Schubert and the Modern Music" Competition in Graz, and 2nd prize at the 2013 Paula-Salomon-Lindberg-Wettbewerb in Berlin. With her duo partner Melissa Gore, they have given Liederabends regularly in various venues across Europe, including Teatro Vittoria Turin, Old National Gallery Berlin and the Würzburger Residenz.
